SoHo Loft

Annalise is a 34 year old fashion magazine editor. I partitioned her empty loft in SoHo, NYC and designed a living room, bedroom, office, and kitchen/dining space.

She wanted her home to reflect her sleek, modern fashion taste with nods to her traditional Japanese upbringing.

This project was completed as part of my Residential Design I course at New York School of Interior Design.

Concept Board + Concept Statement

The base of this space is sleek and open with high contrast neutrals. Graphic lines, luxe chrome, and Bauhaus furniture bring visual interest and a nod to the clients interest in experimental haute couture. Low furniture and bold oversized artwork will enhance high loft ceilings. Traditional Japanese shoji (screens) divide the public and private spaces while allowing natural light to flow throughout.
