The family portrait is a long-standing tradition, but Rocket introduced something new: Chosen family portraits.

Chosen family offer the love and support that biological families sometimes can’t or won't. For many LGBTQ+ people, these bonds are vital, yet they often go unrecognized and undocumented.

To honor them, Rocket set up a free professional photo studio at Motor City Pride. Because home isn’t just where you live — it’s where you feel love, belonging, and acceptance.
